Leadership is a skill that is needed all around the world. People will come from different backgrounds aand different cultures but the skills of. aleader are universally the same. Especially during Covid, many jobs have adapted to be completely virtual and this has allowed people to work jobs that are all across the globe. With thi svirtual work comes very diverse teams tthat may not have much in common. This has made the necessitty for a global mindset much higher and makes the skills that I have attained on this trip very important in my future professional career.
Intellectual Capital- your global business savvy, cosmopolitan outlook, and cognitive complexity
I was able inccrease my global business savy because of my site visit that happened during my PRT 359 class in Innsbruck. I was able to go on a site visit to Area 47 and got the chance to talk to the CEO of the company. He explained to my group the leadership philosophies that he had implimented in his organization but also explained all pf the loogistics of the extreme sports part that he runs. I was able to understad the way that businses are conducted in Europe and was able to reflect on the similarities and differences between Europe and the US
I felt a lot of growth in my cosmopolitan outlook throughout this program. I had never visited Europe and had not done much traveeling, so I had not gotten mch opportunity to experience different places and learn aboout their history. This trip gave me the opportunity to learn about new cultures and the history of all oo fthe places that we were visiting. In Prague, Munich, and Innsbruck one of the first things that we did was go oon a tour of the city and learn about the hiistory. This is important when trying to understand a culture so that you understand the background that it comes from.
My cognitive complexity is the area that saw the mpst improvement. This trip has forced me to get out of my comfort zone and my regular reutine which has been very beneficial to growing as a person, but it has also caused some chaallenges. Navigating a new city is something that was compleetely new to me since I have lived in raleiigh my whole life, so figuring out my way around the city and the use oof transpoortatioon was not an easy task. Ive never dealt with gettiing around a city using public transportation and doing so in these places forced me to think dfferently than normally would.

Psychological Capital- your passion for diversity, quest for adventure, and your self-assurance
My passion for diversity has changed drastically throughout this trip. Never having experienced diversity on a scale like this made it so that I did not think to seek it out. However, over thee past two months I have gotten a taste of what experiencing different countries is like and meeting people from different culture, and I plan to continue to travel and get those new experiences in other parts of the world.
My quest for adventure is not something that I was lacking before this trip, but it has definitely increased in terms of traveling. I became very comfortable with moving around to these different cities and going to places without a plan and just seeing what happens. Some of the best advice that I got on this trip was to "get lost". This will always lead you to new experiences.
My self-assurance is something that has been worked on since the first day I arrived in Prague. During our initial scavenger hunt we were forced to talk to strangers and have full on conversations with them. This is not something that I am normally comfortable doing, but that activity set the tone for this whole trip for me and made me want to go out of my way to talk to complete strangers.

Social Capital- your intercultural empathy, interpersonal impact, and diplomacy
My intercultural empathy is something that increased throughout this trip and I attribute that mostly to getting the opportunity to work with the German students in Reutlingen. I was able to make many personal connections over those two weeks and learn a lot from them in a professional as well as a personal sense.
My interpersonal impact has developed a lot through these weeks because of the amount of people that I have been meeting. I have made strong connections with many German students and have also gotten the chance to meet a CEO of a very large company. To make sure that I keep these connections I made sure to add them on LinkedIn so that we are able to keep up with each others professional careers.
My diplomacy has seen an increase due to the amount of people that I have encountered and my willingness to engage them in conversations. I have noticed that over time on this trip I have become much more comfortable with approaching strangers and even have started to enjoy doing to it understand where they come from and who they are.
